My Ate Lolek Fave


Laing

Mga Sangkap:


20 piraso ng dahon ng gabi, kasama tangkay,
2 laman ng malalaking niyog
1 tasang mainit na tubig
1 kutsarang mantika
1 kutsarang napitpit na bawang
1/2 tasang natadtad na sibuyas

1 kutsarang napitpit na luya
1/4 kilong baboy (nahiwa ng maliliit)
1/4 tasang "hibe", nababad sa tubig at napatuyo
4 pirasong "green chili pepper", nahihiwa ng maliliit

1/4 tasang alamang

Paraan ng Pagluluto:

Hugasan at patuyuin ang mga dahon ng gabi.

Ihiwalay ang dahon sa tangkay.

Balatan ang tangkay at hiwain ng ng maliliit. Itabi.

Dagdagan ng mainit na tubig ang niyog . Pigaiin ang gata nito. Itabi.

Sa isang palayok, igisa ang bawang, luya at sibuyas. Idagdag ang karne ng baboy at lutuin ng mabuti. Idagdag ang "hibe", "pepper" at alamang kasama na ang tangkay ng gabi. Igisa ang mga ito ng 5 minuto o hanggang medyo luto na. Maglagay ng isang kutsara ng nagisang kasangkapan sa bawat gabi at balutin ito ng pabilog at pahaba. Ilipat sa ibang lutuan at ihalo ang gata ng niyog. Lutuin ito hanggang maging mantika ang sabaw at ang gabi ay luto na.

Our Favorite


Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe

Difficulty: 3
(1=easiest :: hardest=5)

Ingredients:
  • bacon (quite fatty, but not in slices, rather a nice chunk)
  • 2 eggs per person
  • thick cream NOT COMPULSORY (it's easier to get a creamy sauce this way)
  • grated Parmesan.
  • spaghetti
  • Plenty of black pepper

Another wonderful Italian traditional recipe!

Carbonara comes from carbone=coal. Legend says it was invented (spaghetti carbonara, not coal) by the members of "La Carboneria", a secret patriotic society founded by Mazzini to organize independent recolutions against the Austrians who had occupied Milan and most of Northern Italy. But the origin of the name comes from the fact that this dish was served to the people who worked in coal mines, as it is a simple dish yet gives a lot of calories.
This is a very fast dish to prepare.
Put water to boil.
Meanwhile, cut bacon into cubes, and put to fry in a pan (no need for oil, as the fat will melt and the bacon will cook in the fat). 5 minutes is enough on medium heat. When the water is boiling add pasta.
As soon as pasta is cooked drain. Then QUICKLY, break eggs directly into spaghetti and stir, this way the eggs will cook in the heat of the pasta. Stir quite well, so you don't get scrambled eggs with your spaghetti, it should be wtill quite runny. Add bacon and grated parmesan. Add plenty of black pepper.
If you use cream, then add it to the bacon, at the end. Don't boil cream as it will go bitter, just warm it up.
That should be it.
I prefer my carbonata without cream, but that's a matter of taste.
